Don't you love Stella McCartney's pre-fall collection? It is quite admirable that she was able to create a fashionable paisley jumpsuit, without making it look like old, psychedelic hippie pajamas. See the entire collection here.

Goodness am I tired! Today, I went to the mall to get a bit of shopping done and also obsess over a shirt I want in Madewell (it's a relatively new store, owned by J. Crew). I ended up purchasing a faux-leather jacket in Forever 21, which was only $40. When I wear it, it makes me feel like Amelia Earhart, which is a win in my book : )

Sorry, but I am too lazy to find the accent grave on my keyboard. So, for the purposes of this article, it will be spelled Hermes. As in the Greek god.

Jean Paul Gaultier has a penchant for themed shows, the more over-the top, the better. He introduced us to aviator-chic last season, with leather bomber jackets and pilot-style caps, and has previously indulged us in sumptuous fabrics reminiscent of a Bollywood film. However, this season he took a different approach, seeking his influence from athletics. Sports are a natural inspiration for a Hermes line, after all, the brand is known for its equestrian roots (a motif that is ever-present in its runway shows). For the spring 2010 collection, tennis was the main influence. It was sporty-chic (oh, how I despise using that term to describe such a wonderful collection) delivered with impeccable elegance and precision. Cardigan and miniskirt ensembles were accessorized with the trademark Birkin, in a fresh shade of new tennis-shoes white. Preppy-girl wardrobe staples, like collared shirts and blazers, along with luxe floor-length dresses were done in clean shades of blue, white, and black. Gahh I never thought I would ever be remotely attracted to sequined shorts but I suppose there is a first time for everything. I am loving this look from Diane von Furstenberg's amazing pre-fall collection.

"Wow," was all I had to say after seeing Albert Kriemler's collection at Akris. Everything looked so luxe and tailored to a tee. You have to see the collection. Now.

Aren't these outfits lovely? My favorite is the first one. I wish I could pull off wearing a hat like that, while nonchalantly carrying books. Due to my hand-eye coordination (or lack thereof) I would probably end up tripping/dropping a heavy book on my toe while I ascended the staircase. Ahhh well.
