{kate.moss//longchamp}

Longchamp, at least where I am, has become a BIG trend lately (those nylon/leather Le Pliage bags). Now, Kate Moss, who has been the face of the brand for a few years now, is trying her hand at designing bags for the luxury leather goods brand. Part classic-elegance and part modern day Moss (about one of the bags, Kate says it's "great for Glastonbury [I assume she's talking about the music festival] - you can hold two drinks and put it over your shoulder, it's perfect!" Okay then... I'm assuming you're talking about two WATER BOTTLES, Kate, right?).
That being said, I do like the "Glastonbury" bag, as it's called. It's like a hippie-ized Longchamp, with this fabulous braided leather trim. The "Ladbroke" is my other favorite - it's slouchy and black, the perfect neutral.
I feel like some people may say that Kate isn't strictly a designer, but, she's a model - she's been wearing great clothes her whole life! And, she has great style, too. I wish I had a Topshop near me so that I could purchase her line from there :(
The only thing I'm not so keen on in this collection is the zebra print lining. I've just never been that  big on zebra print. Perhaps I'm too traditional.

Anyways, I have to get to some homework now. It's supposed to snow tomorrow (snow day?!) so that makes me excited!

xoxoxo,
Sophie

Joan Smalls also attended the event. I had to put her pic up because she is one of my favorite new models.

{wowers}

Truthfully, I wasn't all that impressed with the couture collections this season, so I've decided to reminisce about spring 2010. I LOVED the fresh-faced makeup at Chanel - very classy, and it doesn't look like the models' eyes are being weighed down by mascara. I think Lily looks lovely in the pic above, she's one of those people that looks better without a lot of makeup.

Front row seats:

Claudia Schiffer - Looking chic.
Very sweet! Natalia Vodianova and her daughter Neva.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a few days - it's been a busy week. Hope everyone's having a nice weekend.

Sophie

{emma.watson/people.tree}

[from vogue.co.uk]
Burberry-model, Harry Potter actress, freshman-year college student and now designer. It sure has been quite a year for Miss Emma Watson!

[from peopletree.co.uk]
Everything in the collection is made from organic cotton, and it is all made my hand by Fair Trade groups in countries like Bangladesh and Nepal. And, it's relatively affordable! Which is always good, especially if you're on a 15-year-old budget like me :)

{caroline.sieber}

[from style.com]
Caroline Sieber at the Chanel Haute Couture show (!!!). I didn't know who she was, so naturally I Googled her, and found out that she is one of the five muses that Karl Lagerfeld has selected for Chanel. Good choice, Karl. She looks chic and elegant, exactly what I think when I think Chanel. And she looks amazing in this dress!

Sadly, I have homework tonight. Imagine that! Always putting a damper on my wild partylife (kidding!) I've got to do some biology and read some Salinger, so it's time to hit those books. Have a nice evening everyone, apologies for the extra-short post.

{stella mccartney, you are amazing}

[All from style.com]

Don't you love Stella McCartney's pre-fall collection? It is quite admirable that she was able to create a fashionable paisley jumpsuit, without making it look like old, psychedelic hippie pajamas. See the entire collection here.

Gahhh I really want to do some outfit posts soon. However, that would require A) a camera and B) a cord to connect the camera to the computer. Have accomplished A, must get started on B.

{anthropologie}

I can only dream of looking this good when going to the library...

[From anthropologie.com]
Aren't these outfits lovely? My favorite is the first one. I wish I could pull off wearing a hat like that, while nonchalantly carrying books. Due to my hand-eye coordination (or lack thereof) I would probably end up tripping/dropping a heavy book on my toe while I ascended the staircase. Ahhh well.

{thank you urban outfitters...}

...for bringing back 40s fashion. I was so excited to see, when I visited the website today, that they are having a special focus on forties-era styles.

See? I am loving the Missoni-ish zig zag dress with the crocheted cardie.

By the way, Urban Outfiters does a great job at styling their product photos.

I love this outfit, it is so polished and retro. Visit the website to see more.

{Best.Mag.Cover}

[From Stylefrizz.com]
I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with magazines, especially considering I have accumulated a huge pile of them in my room. My favorite cover for February has to be British Vogue - they always nail it! Natalia Vodianova looks happy and relaxed, and is definitely selling that magazine! I was slightly disappointed in Harper's Bazaar; they selected Miley Cyrus as their cover star. Marie Claire featured Christina Aguilera, and I liked it, except the styling was rather conventional.
Boy, do those Brits know how to do high fashion! British Elle was a close second to British Vogue, with a lovely Natalie Portman on the cover.

{bicycle.dresses}

I am here today to discuss playsuits, or, as I call them, "bicycle dresses." You see, if it's too much trouble to wear a far more practical pair of shorts, and you simply adore the appearance of a dress, throw on a playsuit. Sarcasm aside, I always thought they were somewhat odd looking pieces of apparel that oddly bunch up between the thighs.

But Topshop has made me change my mind. Isn't this floral printed one adorable?

hmmm. I should ponder purchasing one of these for spring.

{fits.to.a.tee}

Jeans and a tee shirt. Goodness, is there anything better? Of course, many of us would like to add a little pizazz to this wardrobe staple, which we can now do with Brat and Suzie's fabulous tee shirts. Don't deny it, we know you have been pining for a rabbit-printed tee shirt for months... and even if you hadn't, who doesn't want a tote with a picture of a cute kitty on it? Kitties and rabbits aside, Brat and Suzie is a company that supports fair working practices, according to founder Polly Vickery. Seriously, what's not to love?

Awww. Cute wittle bunny :) <<< No, I could not resist using this smiley face.
Gaaah a flamingo tee shirt. Love it.
